Welcome to Whittier Street Health Center where we have a long tradition of caring for Boston’s neighborhoods. For more than 85 years, we have provided services that take care of the whole “you.” Think of Whittier as a one-stop shop where you can come for your primary care, wellness programs, eye and dental care, and behavioral health services. Our Walk-in clinic is open and pediatric patients will always be seen — even without an appointment.
Since its early days as a well-baby clinic in 1933, Whittier has served as a safety net for the physical wellbeing of Boston’s low-income neighborhoods including Roxbury, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, and the South End. Today we serve approximately 30,000 individuals from culturally and circumstantially diverse communities with a wide array of health programs.
Whittier’s services are designed to meet all of our patients’ primary care, behavioral health, dental care, and vision-related needs. As a trusted entity with a high degree of visibility, a strong advocacy role, a multicultural and multilingual staff, and long-standing collaborations across industry sectors, Whittier not only represents its community, it is a vital community asset.
